# Export Data to File: from iMapper to InSitu with ease

### iMapper to InSitu: Step-By-Step Guide

###### Step 1: Draw your Areas
Use the area tool to draw the walls on your point clouds

###### Step 2: Export data to file

Simply click on the Export button, select the TXT option - make sure your file is in mm.

**You will be able to select only the Walls (Area tool) option for export.**

Then, simply click **Export **and your file will be saved in your downloads folder.

###### Step 3: Import files into InSitu and start drawing!

Every Software as different way to open or import dxf files 

For InSitu go to File > Import >  2D file >  Select and Open the desired .txt

Adjust to your usual settings. Now all you have to do is draw your walls along the lines.
