The Area tool
Once you've assembled your scan, you can use the area tool to draw the walls of every room.
Draw line (walls, doors, windows and openings) that you will be able to export in your dxf file.
Draw the wall to import them in 3D to InSitu : how to import to InSitu.
Draw the wall to import them in 3D to Winner : how to import to Winner.
Get the dimension, surface, volume and angle of the room.
Copy the dimension of your room to make a preliminary quote quickly.
Creat a pdf document with the pictures, dimensions of the room and the sharing link

Select the area tool in the tool bar on the left
When the area tool is selected you can see snaping point in blue appear in the corner of the room. You can click on those point and any-where else to draw your area. Those snapping point are hear to help you find the corner of the room very quickly. They are generated by an algoritme that do the some of all the point that give one direction and that meet the some of an other direction.
To start to draw the area do a LEFT click an the first corner and then on the second and so on. Click one corner after each other in a logical order (#1 - #2 - #3 - #4).
To close the Area do a random RIGHT click or a LEFT click on the corner #1.
If want to make the snaping point disappear zoom in until the snaping point disappear, and zoom out to make it visible again.
If you want to MOVE a dot, hold down the LEFT click on the dot you want to move, and while holding the click move the dot to where you want. and then release.
If you want to REMOVE a dot do a sharp LEFT click on it to delet it
If you want to ADD a dot, do a LEFT click on the middle of the segment where you want to add the dot, by holding the left click you can creat the new dot and place it where you want.
To add DOOR select the door icone, then LEFT clik on the hinge of the door and then do a second click on the line to place the second end of your door. Move your cursor to either side of the line to define the door opening direction.
To add a WINDOW, select the window tool, then LEFT clik on one end of the window and then on the other end
To add a OPENING, select the window tool, then LEFT clik on one end of the opening and then on the other end
You can only place doors windows and opening on the lines of the area you have already drawn.
You need to have the area tool selected to update an area and to add doors, windows and openings
V = Volume
A = Area (Surface)
P = Perimiter
With the Copy icon CREAT A BILL OF QUANTITIES
Click on the square icon on the left, to copy all the dimesions of the room. Then open an excell sheet and past the data.
You will then be able to creat the bill of quantities of your project
With the gear wheel
RENAME your area by click on the gear wheel in the center of the area, and then whrite the name of your choice in the pop up.
add the CEILING HEIGHT and you will get the VOLUME of the room and the SURFACES OF THE WALLS
If you want to DELET AN AREA, click on the garbage icone in the center of the area or on the right of the area name on the project files list on the bottom left corner of your screen.
